Composite VeneersAs you no doubt saw on my home page, the use of composite veneers can have a very dramatic effect. The following pictures show a very subtle case carried out on a young woman wanting to expand her modelling career into facial photographs. Unlike crowns, composite veneers can be added onto a tooth surface and stuck there with very little preparation of the tooth surface. That is, where you have to grind a tooth down to fit a crown, you often can add composite on without grinding the tooth. This means that the procedure, in most cases, is almost totally reversible and does little damage to the tooth. You do end up with a slightly bigger tooth, but most patients get used to this. ![]() The teeth on the left are slightly misaligned, rather than using orthodontic braces or crowns, we chose to use composite veneers ... ![]() ... the result? Minimal tooth destruction and maximum aesthetics! LINKS | TOPICS ONLINE | SEARCH | HOME |
