Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth or third molars, are usually teeth that bring us to the dentist early in life. - in many cases they are also the only teeth we ever have extracted! Wisdom teeth pose a problem when:
- They erupt ackwardly, pointing in the wrong directions.
- They fail to erupt completely, with only a portion poking through the gum.
- They pose difficult problems with cleaning and develop cavities or gum problems.
Most people suffer wisdom tooth problems in their early 20s as this is the time when the normal eruption of wisdom teeth occurs. The following sections will detail what positions wisdom teeth can align themselves in and the procedure used to remove them.
